Cork Craft Show – 1st and 2nd September

cork craft show

The Guild has been invited to attend the first ever year of a new and exciting craft show in Cork International Hotel. They are hoping to get craft guilds from all over Ireland to participate and are hoping to have a whole room for textiles! We have been offered as much Space as we can fill and there is opportunities for demonstrations, a floor loom and lots of spinning space. It is an amazing chance to connect with all of the other guilds as well as have a chance to be part of this exciting event.

If you are interested in demonstrating or coming along to assist with the guild stand, you can offer as little as an hour or two hours of sitting and spinning/weaving and you get free entry into the show.

Please let us know if you are interested by emailing events@weavespindye.ie

We would like to have final numbers for the show before the 20th of August to allow the organisers to have us set up properly. For more information about the show please have a read of the press release below

The Cork Craft Show is in its inaugural year at the Cork International Hotel and will be the final weekend of Cork Craft Month which takes place each year across Cork City and County.

At the Cork Craft Show we will have a number of different zones which will showcase, educate and celebrate all areas of craft from wood, metal, glass, art, jewellery, ceramics, textiles, needlework and much more. (www.corkcraftshow.com )

The main area will be the exhibitor zone where prospective exhibitors can showcase and sell their produce. In that area also, we will have a main demo stage, where craft makers can demonstrate their craft throughout the day.

Our next area will be a workshop zone where exhibitors will have an opportunity to host a workshop with attendees interested in that specific area of craft e.g. pottery workshop.

We will also have a separate demonstration zone for quite specific areas of craft such as wood turning for guests to experience the intricate detail of this craft.
