If not we announced a Wheel Spinning Workshop this October and if you are interested there are a few places left. If you ever wanted to learn to spin on a spinning wheel here is your chance:

The Important Information:

When: Saturday October 7th 10am – 2pm
Where: Riverbank Arts Centre, Newbridge, Co. Kildare
(Bus stop directly outside, 10 mins from the train station, near the motorway. More details on https://www.riverbank.ie/our-location/)

Cost: Members €50, Non Members €60

Class Content:

This will be a true beginners class with a bit of history. Topics will include:

• Meet your wheel: the pieces and what they do.
• 3 spinning techniques: long-draw, short-draw, and spinning from the fold.
• Discussion of kinds of fiber (Though we will only spin with wool, there will be a folder with all kinds of fiber to explain the differences.)
• Plying on your wheel.
• Balancing and finishing your skein.

Wool fiber for spinning will be provided. Please let us know if you will bring your own wheel or will need to borrow/rent one.
