Dublin: IGWSD Eastern Region Guild Meet 

The Eastern Regional Guild meeting takes place in the Timberyard, on Cork Street on the 3rd Sunday of the month, from 2pm to 4.15pm,  from September to November and January to June inclusive. The group takes a break in December and again in the summer for the months of July and August. Contact: hello@weavespindye.ie. Spinning and weaving, with Guild members present to demonstrate and give advice.

IGWSD Midwest Spinners and Weavers

A vibrant group of spinners, weavers and dyers that meet monthly on the 1st Saturday of the month in the Spás in the foyer of the Glór Arts Centre from 11pm to 2pm, in Ennis, Co Clare. Contact Sandra at  irishfibrecrafters@gmail.com for queries.

IGWSD The Crafty Dreams Spinners of Portarlington

Portarlington, County Laois: the Crafty Dreams Spinners of Portarlington meet for a spinning day in Solas eco garden centre on the 3rd Saturday of the month. This is not a workshop, and there will be no teaching, it is just a friendly meeting between fellow spinners. This event will take place here: Solas Eco Garden Centre, Dublin Road Business Park, Bracklone, Portarlington, Co. Laois, R32 RPX8. There is a small food court onsite selling food. There are toilet facilities and ample parking. We will be meeting in the inside coffee room from 10am to 4pm. All warmly welcome for a nice spinning day!

IGWSD County Sligo:

The newly formed North West Spinners will meet on the second Saturday of the month from 10.30am until around 1pm in Ballisodare , Co. Sligo F91 Y193. . There is a €5 fee each as it is a shared crafting building. Teas/ coffee etc provided. Parking on quiet road outside. Please pass on the word to anyone you know who might be interested.

IGWSD Mayo: Connacht Textile Crafters

The Connacht Textile Crafters meet every second month on the last Saturday of the month from 11am to 3pm approx. The meetings are on in January, March (Note: it will be on the 23rd March this year, not 30th March), May, July, September and November. The meetings are in the Museum of Country Life, Turlough Park, Castlebar. Contact: Bettina at gerriguinness@hotmail.com or keep an eye onthe events page on http://www.museum.ie

IGWSD Wexford:  1798 Spinners group, South-eastern Group: The spinners of Wexford and adjacent counties meet on the first Saturday of the month in Ballycarney Old Post Office from 12 until 4pm.
Ballycarney is about 10km north of Enniscorthy. Coming from Enniscorthy on the Bunclody Road you turn right at the crossroads opposite the pub for Ferns and then turn left after the bridge ,the restored cottage is on the right. All welcome to come and spin and chat for a while.

Cork: Handweavers Guild of Cork

A group of handweavers, spinners and dyers who meet in Bishopstown library, Wilton Shopping Centre, Cork city, on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 11am to 2pm. Feel free to bring your spinning wheel or spindle and spin, or a small loom to weave on. New members very welcome!

Donegal: Yarnspinners of Inishowen

An Inishowen community collective who use local wool to revitalise the crafts of spinning, hand dyeing, felting, crochet and knitting. The group meet regularly for informal crafting sessions. Available for demonstrations and workshops and can also take commissions. Yarn Spinners of Inishowen are on Facebook, and blog at yarnspinnersinishowen.blogspot.ie.
